The
coral reef of Cahuita National Park includes about 240
habitats. There are 123 different species of Fishes,
44 species of crustaceans, 140 shellfish and 1281 various
algae identified. We can also observe 35 different coral
species such as the fire coral, the red and black coral
which is unique in this area. Regarding the Park, we
will have the opportunity to see the vegetation coast
and to observe animals such as sloth, monkeys, snakes,
etc…..
Description
of the tour:
We will pick
you up at your hotel at 8.30 and depart towards the
village of Cahuita. There we meet the captain and the
guide who will take you by boat to the coral reef where
you are going snorkeling for two hours in two different
points of the National Park. After that we will go back
to the beach to have a rest, and where they will give
you some drinks and fruits before starting the walk
through the national park. In this guided hike, which
last about 1 hour, you will be able to see the different
animals and vegetation which live in this are, and learn
about the history of Cahuita. At the end of the walk
we will enjoy a typical lunch and ager that, the bus
will take you back to your hotel.
