The beauty of this refuge is incredible because of its forests, lagoons, coral reefs and white sand beaches and is the most isolated and most exotic place of all the South Caribbean coast. This refuge protects 4500 ha. Of sea, 15 km. of coast and 5000ha. Of plants and hills which maximum height is 115 mt. Apart from the vegetation, we will also observe animals like monkeys, toucans, sloth snakes and caimans.

Description of the tour:

We will pick you up at 7.00 a.m. at your hotel to go by car to Manzanillo where our guide is waiting for you to start the adventure through the jungle of the Refuge. Monkeys, toucans, sloth, and lot of different birds will accompany us for the 4 hour hike through the jungle.

The lunch will be served in the most famous restaurant of Manzanillo, Maxi, where the car will be waiting for us to take us back to Puerto Viejo.
